Your dashboard
Home is the first page you see. It greets you by your first name and gives you a quick look at your time off: what’s coming up, and how long it’s been since a proper break.
While you still have setup steps left, the Getting started card sits at the top. See Your first sign-in.
The four tiles
Section titled “The four tiles”The same four tiles sit at the top of My Leave. On Home, select one to go where it points.
- Annual Leave used: approved days this leave year, out of your allowance plus anything carried over. It’s named after your organisation’s main leave type, and pending requests aren’t counted yet. Underneath is the date your leave year ends, and how many days you carried over, if any, with the date they need using by if that comes sooner. With an unlimited allowance it shows the days with no total.
- Pending requests: your requests of any type still waiting for a decision.
- Until your next leave: days until your next approved leave starts. Pending leave doesn’t count until it’s approved. With nothing booked it shows a dash and takes you to New Request. While you’re away it becomes Until you’re back, counted to your next working day, so days you don’t work, bank holidays, closures and any leave straight after are all skipped.
- Since your last break: days since your last break ended, with a line underneath that changes as the days go by.
| Days since your last break | What it says |
|---|---|
| Up to 7 | Feeling refreshed? |
| 8 to 14 | Hope you’re well rested. |
| 15 to 30 | Time to start planning the next? |
| 31 to 60 | Been a while - maybe plan one in? |
| More than 60 | Time to book a break? |
While you’re on a break it reads You’re on a break and “Enjoy it.” Before your first one, it shows a dash, with “Your first break is coming up” if one is booked, or “Time to book a break?” if not.
A break is approved leave of two working days or more (a Friday and the Monday after count as one), never sick or compassionate leave. Those are time away rather than rest, so the count carries on through them. It’s the same break the time-off nudge and Analytics go by.
The tiles aren’t a score. They’re there so your next break is something to look forward to, and so it’s easy to notice when it’s been a while. See Time for a break.
Upcoming Leave
Section titled “Upcoming Leave”Below the tiles is your approved leave still to come, the 10 soonest. Anything under way sits in an On Leave group at the top, then the rest follows by month.
Over the next 3 months the list also shows days the company is closed that don’t come out of your allowance, and your organisation’s events.
Badges count down for you: Off in 3 days from 10 working days before your leave starts, and Back in 2 days while you’re away.
With nothing booked, it says “Nothing booked in. Time for a break?” with a Request leave button.
When you’re off today
Section titled “When you’re off today”On a day you’re off, a strip across the top of every page says why:
- your own leave, for example “You’re on annual leave”, which opens My Leave
- a company closure that isn’t coming out of your allowance, “We’re closed for…”
- a bank holiday you observe, for example “It’s Christmas Day”, where your organisation doesn’t count bank holidays as working days
- a weekday you don’t work, for example “You don’t work Fridays”
It doesn’t appear just because it’s the weekend.
If you approve leave
Section titled “If you approve leave”Role managers, leave managers, team managers and org admins get two tabs on Home: Organisation, which opens first, and Me, with the tiles above and your own upcoming leave.
Organisation shows how many of the team members you look after are on leave now, how many requests are waiting, who’s off next month and who’s on sick leave this month. Below that is the upcoming leave across them. On Pro, team managers and org admins also get an Around today row. See Your team’s leave.
